Chocolate ice cream with white and dark fudge chunks, pecans, walnuts, and fudge covered almonds. It’S like a greatest hits list of goodness that will drive you nuts! think you’ve tasted a flavor better than this? Fuggedaboudit! we’ve always had a soft spot in our heart for new York. The big apple, the city that never sleeps—call it what you will, it’s a place where pride runs deep. In fact, new York city is where our founders ben Cohen and jerry greenfield became childhood friends before establishing ben and jerry’s in Burlington, Vermont. So in 1985, to honor our roots and make a name for ourselves in new York, we picked a new York kind of name and created a flavor packed with more kinds of chunks than ever before. It was a bit over the top, but we figured that if the flavor was a hit with discerning new Yorkers, it would be a hit everywhere. It was, and it is. Flash forward to the present, and new York super fudge chunk continues to be a fan-favorite. Of course, like all of ben and jerry’s frozen desserts, it doesn’t just taste good, but does good, too. Our homemade ice cream recipe calls for only non-GMO-sourced ingredients and eggs laid by cage-free hens. Fairtrade-certified producers supply the cocoa, sugar, and vanilla; and caring dairy farmers deliver our kosher-certified milk and cream in a sustainable way. Even our ice cream pint packaging is responsibly sourced.
