"An authentic, family-owned restaurant, and one of the culinary gems of Columbus, Schmitz sausage house never fails to disappoint. I could eat the sauerkraut bratwurst balls until I burst asunder, and even then, so long as I could draw breath, one would have some difficulty in resting them from me. The old world sausage sampler is a delightful tour of succulent historical sausage recipes. And I would be flung away forever to rot in prison if I neglected to mention the exquisite cream puffs, whose Heftiness is belied by their creamy decadent filling and precisely crafted and delicate pastry shell."

"Schmidt’s is one of my favorite restaurants. When I go, I always get the same order: a smoked and grilled ham and melty Swiss sandwich on the best pretzel bun you can imagine. I love their latkes (potato pancakes) and German potato salad. I ordered their cream puff of the month which was strawberry, and it may’ve been the best cream puff I’ve ever had from them which is saying A LOT!"
