Melting directions: (visit verybestbaking.com for more melting tips). microwave: melt 1-3/4 cups chunks in uncovered, microwave-safe bowl on high power for 45 seconds; stir. if needed, microwave at additional 15-second intervals, stirring vigorously after each interval until chunks are melted. microwaves vary, melting times may need to be adjusted. double boiler: place 1-3/4 cups chunks in top of double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. do not cover. prevent water from coming in contact with chunks. when chunks begin to turn shiny, stir constantly until melted. once melted, immediately remove top pan with melted chunks from bottom pan. we recommend melting no more than 2 cups of chunks at a time. once melted, use immediately.
