Laissez les bon temps roulez!! The storefront is minimalist and the menu is limited -- some would say focused -- but hallelujah, it's a taste of NOLA in Chicago!! In our annual search for authentic king cake (since the closing of the Swedish Bakery), we stumbled on to Junebug. Holy NOLA, Batman!!

Impressed with this place. Food was all tasty. The meat pie (pastie) was really tasty and the beignets were amazing. Nice decor and owners were very nice. Love to support small local business as well

Great new addition to Portage Park. The couple who own the cafe grew up in the area but, have family ties and history in New Orleans. They're bringing their love of New Orleans food to us and it's clearly a win for the neighborhood.

Finally had the beignets....SO GOOD!!! We've had beignets from various places in New Orleans, including Cafe Du Monde, and these are as good, if not better. What a great place and so happy it is in the neighborhood :)!

Ever since moving nearby, Junebug Cafe has been my ultimate happy place! I love their gumbo and beignets, they are perfect and exactly how I think they should taste. I also add in their wonderful sweet tea! Service is always friendly.
