Earle's on Crenshaw, located in the heart of Los Angeles' Leimert Park, has become a staple in the community thanks to the hard work and dedication of two Brooklyn-born brothers, Cary and Duane Earle. Their journey started in 1984 with a simple hot dog cart on the Venice Beach boardwalk, where Cary’s engineering skills and Duane’s charm turned their venture into a local success. After gaining a following at venues across L.A., they opened their first brick-and-mortar spot, Earle's Weiners, on Crenshaw Blvd in 1992. Over the years, the brothers expanded their business, evolving from a hot dog cart to a full-scale restaurant and catering company, now known as Earle’s on Crenshaw. Throughout their 36+ years in business, Cary and Duane have remained deeply rooted in the Crenshaw community. Their commitment to quality food and superior service, along with their support for Black and Brown empowerment, has made Earle’s more than just a local eatery—it’s a community hub. "The food was really good as this was my first time ordering from them. I was also very impressed with the packaging. The French fries were sealed instead of being open ended and the hot dogs were labeled so we knew who got what without having to open the container. Also, the food was also still warm even though my location was far from the restaurant. Great job!"
