Directions

Keep frozen. Cooking: Stove Top: 1. Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. 2. Add chard and 1/2 teaspoon salt, if desired. 3. Return to boiling, separating with fork to hasten thawing. 4. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for 8-10 minutes (For food safety and best quality, cook to a temperature of 160 degrees F. Cooking times may vary depending on power of microwave and type of container used. To retain highest quality and texture, do not overcook.) 5. Drain and serve. Microwave: 1. Place chard and 2 tablespoons of water in a microwave-safe casserole. Cover. 2. Cook on high for 8-9 minutes (For food safety and best quality, cook to a temperature of 160 degrees F. Cooking times may vary depending on power of microwave and type of container used. To retain highest quality and texture, do not overcook.) Stir. 3. Cook on high setting for another 2-3 minutes. Drain. Keep frozen until ready to use.
