1. Stack your deals — Combine app-wide Uber Eats promotions, merchant-specific offers, and eligible Uber One member benefits all in one order, when offers can be combined under their terms. Uber One members may receive $0 Delivery Fee and up to 10% off eligible grocery orders.
2. Shop Fresh Days promotions — Uber Eats runs Fresh Days promotions with discounts on grocery items like produce, dairy, and pantry staples in participating areas. Check the Deals tab in the app before placing your order to see what’s currently on sale.
3. Avoid peak hours and schedule ahead — Ordering during off-peak hours or scheduling your delivery in advance can help keep your costs lower and more predictable.
4. Choose No Rush Delivery — Where offered, selecting No Rush Delivery on your order may provide a reduced Delivery Fee in exchange for a flexible delivery window. A good option when timing isn’t urgent.
5. Pay with your EBT card — Uber Eats accepts EBT cards as payment for eligible grocery items. This can help significantly reduce your out-of-pocket cost on qualifying groceries.
6. Use discounted Uber Eats gift cards — Purchase Uber Eats gift cards at a discount through authorized retailers to effectively lower the cost of every order.
7. Place one larger order instead of several smaller ones — Delivery Fee and Service Fee apply per order. Consolidating your shopping into a single weekly order that meets the Uber One minimum threshold may reduce the total number of fees you pay.
8. Use your American Express card benefits — U.S. Consumer American Express Platinum Card® Members can receive up to $120 in Amex statement credits each calendar year when they use their eligible Card to pay for a monthly or annual Uber One membership (subject to auto-renewal). Activating Uber One may unlock $0 Delivery Fee and up to 10% off on eligible orders from participating merchants.
9. Check your credit card’s shopping portal — Many credit card portals offer cashback or bonus points on Uber Eats purchases. Check your card’s portal before placing your order to maximize rewards on top of any other savings.
