Unpacked: How this woman beat the odds to become a Bay Area chef

Against all odds, Azalina Eusope, a fifth-generation street food vendor, moved to San Francisco 16 years ago. Abandoned by her mother as a child and facing the realities of the caste system in Malaysia, she saw no opportunity for herself.

Fast forward to today and Azalina is running bustling restaurants in the Bay Area, serving up food that is symbolic of her journey.
