6 cities where you can get Starbucks® favorites delivered

February 11, 2019 | United States

Whether you're a Latte lover, a Cold Brew connoisseur, or you just want your go-to Frappuccino® beverages, everyone has their favorite Starbucks order. And for select cities across the United States, you can have your favorite beverage — and Starbucks snacks and meals — delivered to you at home, at work, or wherever you happen to be, thanks to Uber Eats' new partnership with Starbucks.

This exciting partnership started back in September, 2018 with 100 stores in Miami, and in 2019, we've already added select stores in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and New York City. Whet your whistle with some fun facts about the coffee habits in these launch cities.

San Francisco

San Francisco gets one of its many nicknames, the Golden City, from the California Gold Rush, which started in 1848 — during the rush, San Francisco grew from a small town to a booming city, with its population skyrocketing in one year from 1,000 to 25,000. Of course, these days SF is better known for its tech boom — and all its coffee loving programmers and developers! San Francisco was the first of our 2019 launches, with the first store going live for Uber Eats delivery on January 22. The first order placed was delivered to a hotel on O'Farrell Street and included an Iced Cinnamon Almondmilk Macchiato, Sprouted Grain Vegan Bagel, Berry Trio Parfait, Red Velvet Loaf Cake, and a Tomato & Mozzarella Sandwich. The most popular item? No surprises here, it's the Grande Latte.

Los Angeles

Continuing down the West Coast, Los Angeles was next to launch on January 28. The first order placed was delivered to Long Beach and included a Venti Caramel Latte, Bacon Gouda & Egg Sandwich, Venti Cinnamon Dolce Latte, Egg & Cheese Protein Box, Confetti Sugar Cookie, Red Velvet Loaf Cake, and a Strawberry Yogurt Scone. In fact, over the course of the last two weeks, the people of Los Angeles have enjoyed over 4,000 Latte beverages. That's a lot of Starbucks drinks in Hollywoodland — as the iconic Hollywood sign originally read when it was put up in the 1920s to advertise a new subdivision. If that doesn't surprise you enough, how about the fact that Beverly Hills was once a huge lima bean farm?

Making its way to the Windy City, Starbucks Delivery kicked off in Chicago on February 4 with the first order being placed for two Venti Dark Roast Brewed Coffees. It was placed very early in the morning and delivered to the South Loop. With infamously cold winters, you might be surprised to learn that Chicagoans favorite drink delivered to date has actually been a cold beverage. Yes, Chicagoans simply cannot get enough of Caramel Frappuccino® blended beverages and who could blame them — they are delicious all year round.

The slogan "You don't know beans until you come to Boston," which has been printed on postcards and promotional material for over a hundred years, can take on another meaning now — about coffee beans, instead of baked beans. Making its way to the East Coast, Starbucks Delivery launched in Boston on February 4 and it's been a real coffee party ever since. The first order placed was near Fenway and included a Chai Crème Frappuccino® and a Double-Smoked Bacon, Cheddar & Egg Sandwich. While winning might be the flavor of the month in Boston, the most popular Starbucks item has been the Caramel Macchiato.

New York

The City that Never Sleeps now has even more reason to stay up all night, as Starbucks Delivery is now available as of Febuary 11. As the most populous city in the United States, New York is responsible for drinking a lot of coffee! The first order placed included a Tomato & Mozzarella Sandwich, Butter Croissant, Tortilla Chips, and a Sprouted Grain Vegan Bagel.
