Service. Speed. Sustainability. These are so much more than buzzwords to Yared, an Uber Eats delivery partner in Columbus, Ohio. For the past 16 months, he’s been one of our most reliable and quick (yet safe) partners—just one of many reasons he was selected as one of four MVPs of March Madness® (Most Valuable Partners).
“The hours are flexible with Uber Eats, which I need while studying at college. That means I can work between my classes and travel schedule,” Yared says.
We found out that Yared is a fan of basketball (a loyal fan of his native Toronto’s basketball team), so having completed an impressive 4,000+ deliveries, we’re treating Yared to tickets to the March Madness® action in Columbus.
One thing that helped him earn the award: His ability to beat the clock.
“People are always pleasantly surprised with how quickly I deliver their food,” Yared says. He keeps an eye on safety, of course, “but I understand that most of the time when people order Uber Eats it’s after a long day and they are seeking no additional hassles or stress—and timely receipt of their meal.”
That thoughtfulness will serve him well after graduation, too.
“I intend on graduating with a degree in Spatial Analysis, a field that I landed on due to my love of large metropolises and how they function and wanting to learn how to create a more sustainable, viable community, and country,” he says. “My dream job would be working for a city or in the private sector to help a company become more sustainable in their processes.”
