Shadai lives to bring a smile to others’ faces. And she does so daily, through her acting and delivering people their food. In fact, Shadai has completed an impressive 1,400 Uber Eats deliveries (and counting).
For always going the extra mile to spread joy, Shadai has been selected as one of the four Uber Eats “MVPs of March Madness®,” or Most Valuable Partners in America. To show our appreciation, she will be going to March Madness® games in Anaheim.
“Working a 9 to 5 job didn't make me happy, so I decided to leave my job and family in Connecticut and move across the country to Los Angeles in September 2017 to pursue acting,” she says. “It was one of the most challenging—but best—decisions I’ve ever made.”
Now, Shadai is able to carve out time to make it to auditions, work in central casting and as a production assistant on a set, develop her own app—oh yes, and swing those 1,400+ deliveries as an Uber Eats delivery partner.
“I absolutely love the opportunity to set my own hours, visit different restaurants, check out the scenery in neighboring towns, and explore LA in general,” Shadai says. “Plus, when I deliver people's food on time it literally puts a smile on their face.”
So what brings a smile to her face, besides chasing her dreams and ensuring her Uber Eats customers are never left hungry?
“Riding my bike at the beach, karaoke and wine night with my roommates, and the combination fried rice at my favorite Thai restaurant,” she says.
And dreaming about appearing on a TV show or in a movie someday.
“I love acting because it gives me the freedom to be whoever I want to be at any given moment,” she says.
We can’t wait to see Shadai in action (with a huge grin, no doubt).
