Introducing the Uber Eats MVPs of March Madness

March 25, 2019  /  United States  /  Talk of the Table

Throughout March Madness®, join us in celebrating the real-life Randy Watkinses who are fueling you through every step of the tournament. In honor of our all-star delivery partners, we’re matching your tips on delivery orders placed during Sweet 16®, Elite 8®, Final Four®, and National Championship NCAA Men’s Basketball® games.*

So who are the real-life Randys? Our squad of four Uber Eats MVPs who are going the extra mile to share joy (and sustenance). With more than 10,000 completed deliveries between them, delivery partners Shadai, Frank, Yared, and John embody the qualities of Randy Watkins, Man of Delivery.

For giving it their all, we’ve selected them as our four MVPs of March Madness®, and all will be celebrating their wins with seats at the tournament. Discover what makes them some of our most slam-dunk delivery partners:

March Madness® MVP Shadai

Star quality: Positivity

Shadai’s heart told her a 9 to 5 job wasn’t the right fit, so in 2017, she packed up and moved to Los Angeles to chase her dreams on stage and screen. Now, this aspiring actress is able to carve out time to make it to auditions with the flexibility of choosing her own hours as an Uber Eats delivery partner.

March Madness® MVP Frank

Star quality: Drive

Frank checked onto his first boat on September 11, 2001 and earned several medals throughout his service. He has since traded boats for his bike, and now focuses on safe and speedy delivery.

March Madness® MVP Yared

Star quality: Speed

With over 4,000 completed deliveries, Yared is one of our most reliable and quick (yet safe) partners. The student, avid traveler, and sustainability advocate is also a massive fan of basketball, making him a natural selection as one of our four MVPs of March Madness®.

March Madness® MVP John

Star quality: Thoughtfulness

After retiring from a 20-year career with the Navy, John now balances studying for his Master’s in Occupational Safety and Health/Environmental Management with his 3,000 (and counting) Uber Eats deliveries. He takes special pride in serving those who are unable to leave their homes.
