Uber Eats SoCal partners with the Red Cross and Mcdonald’s for Fire Relief

As the impact of the Southern California wildfires continues, thousands of local residents have been displaced and are in need of meals and water, and first responders are continuing to take action to fight the chain of fires.

Committed to helping the fire relief efforts and saluting the thousands of first responders, the Uber Eats team has partnered with the Red Cross and McDonald’s to deliver free meals and water to all of our first responders and families affected. Uber Eats will also be donating $50,000 to the LA fire department to distribute to first responders.

Additionally, to support disaster recovery efforts, Uber is providing a free ride* to, or from, evacuation centers in Ventura, Los Angeles and San Diego/Murrieta. To use, riders simply enter the promo code SOCALSAFE in the Payment section of the Uber app. For a full list of evacuation centers, please see below.

We’re continuing to work closely with local authorities to determine additional areas of support. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the sudden and devastating Southern California wildfires.
